My fear is fading, I can't speak it Or else you will dig my grave You feel them finding, always whining Take my hand now be alive You see I cannot be forsaken Because I'm not the only one We walk amongst you feeding, raping Must we hide from everyone?
Name:
Aimee Agua (uh-me)
Age: 17
Affiliation:
Water Tribe Warrior
Bender?:
Aimee is a very skilled Water Bender, equipped with the unusual ability to foresee events far away through the water- as water is a part of everything. She learned this skill from Kaibo, but has made it her own in many ways. She is also able to heal, though she has not mastered the ability of drawing water from dead plants and other sources. She continues to train, and is known to have won a few duels with her Father, who is very gifted.
She is also excellent at running, and sometimes serves as her very own messenger. (No need to let someone slower do the job!) She fairly enjoys running, as it has become a natural part of being a Warrior.
Besides that, she is very agile and good at defending herself without her bending. Her fighting technique is swift and defensive, targeting her male counterparts weight imbalances. She has won many fights this way, basically skilled in self defense.
Though she barely uses them, her broadswords serve as another thing to fall back on. Now that she has gotten stronger, she rarely uses them for non-bending defense, though she still enjoys practicing them.
Some of her weaknesses still lie in the fact that she is somewhat tiny. Though stronger and older, she still is weaker than some of her male enemies. Aimee also has terrible trouble with aim. Giving her a bow and arrow is not a very good idea. She also can have too much of a hot head, and not think clearly. Even though it happens less, it happens often.
Appearance:
During the past two years, Aimee's appearance has morphed almost entirely. Aimee stands a half inch over 5”6, though her combat boots make her roughly 5”9. She weighs around 108 pounds, more than her former 90 pound, 5"3 frame.
Her skin has become very tan from fighting in the Earth Kingdom, and her dark brown hair has grown well down past her back, though her warriors wolf tail still peaks up elegantly from atop her head, secured by two animal bones.
Through two years of vigorous training and exercise, she has gained strong, lean upper body muscles that carry her through difficult tasks, turning her once frail arms into working parts of her body, and making her shoulders stronger as well. Her hips still maintain their narrow, childish appearance, making her seem almost masculine in her figure, something that doesn't bother her. (She likes to be thought of as equal to the men.)
Her face, though still maintaining a slightly innocent charm, has grown thinner. Her bright gold eyes seem large against her tan, slightly pinched face, and her features stand out more than usual as they've become more pronounced.
Her uniform has changed, and she now wears a battle uniform made of a long blue cloth to wrap around her upper body, the sleeves made of light blue feathers. The tunic reaches down to her bottom, curving off to the side elegantly. For more free movement, she wears tight blue leggings, and over them her knee guards, and all terrain combat boots. To protect her hands, she wears tight leather gloves that allow her fingers to be exposed for bending. Normally gauze covers her arms, which have been severely burnt due to battle.
Personality:
Aimee carries an intensity about her that can cripple her, or make her. She has grown wiser on just how to use her emotions to her advantage. Some of the calm Kaibo left her with still runs within her, though she never likes to admit it. She doesn't always explode over every little thing, but rather thinks before she lashes out. Much of her earlier problems focused entirely around her spiritual imbalance. Both sides, the good and the evil, now work together perfectly to make a formidable foe. The good side: This side of Aimee is fervently dedicated to the good of the world. She is heroic at her best, and would easily die for a fellow comrade. Her bravery overshadows her fear, and she has learned to face every battle head on, and without cowardly feelings. (She too can be afraid after all) Compassion leaks from every action, however tough and overbearing it may seem. Devotion, dedication, and loyalty to her beliefs make her who she is. She is a staunch feminist and tries her best every day. Her struggle for perfection has made her, rather than break her like it used to.
The bad side: With the good comes the bad, and it is just as powerful for Aimee. She is very much aware that some sort of power radiates from her very being, and at times can flaunt it around foolishly. Though she is almost an adult, occasionally she can act childish, and laugh at her enemies about trivial things. She is a deep rooted sadist, as much as she is a masochist, and finds pleasure in torturing her enemies into submission. Her desire to dominate and take over Fire Nation camps can be seen as cruel, especially when some of the camps are deserted and full of sick men. Part of her still very powerful rage against the Fire Nation has to do with even deeper rooted emotional problems, and childhood loss. Sometimes she goes too far during battle, killing people she does not have to kill. Though she has learned to control her anger, sometimes she can be pushed too far, and her old angry ways return. This anger is matched with a calm viewpoint, turning her into a literal killing machine. Traits: Aimee will stop at nothing to defeat the Fire Nation, and is steadfast in her goal. No matter how many time she loses, she always comes back even stronger than before, living up to her philosophy to be the very best she can be. She does not focus on who is better, but rather on the fact that she is in herself gifted. She is a training freak- sometimes training three times a day to perfect her bending. If something bothers her, she pushes it aside for a better goal. Around those she loves she is caring, and over protective. If she hates you however, she is a formidable enemy to have.
Being friends with Aimee is often hard, as she is very sensitive and intuitive. She can easily see when something is up- and if you don't tell her, she thinks you are hiding something.
Intuition is something that she carries deeply, as well as the ability to feel emotions to their very core. Sometimes it is detramental, and other times it aids her on her never ending journey.
Being a rabid perfectionist, Aimee will stop at nothing to go above and beyond limitations others put on her, even if it means that she bleeds to do it. Sometimes this can lead to over training, or under sleeping, and under eating. She tries to control this negative aspect of her personality, though she can easily become obsessive. Sometimes she over reacts to situations, and always has to remind herself not to be dramatic and bratty. Being dramatic is very much a part of her character.
History:
Aimee was born in the Northern Water Tribe, to a noble family. Her father Kinsoka was a great Warrior, and would often leave her, her mother Kinta, and her brother Azule alone for years to fight the Fire Nation. This made Aimee angry, as she never got to see her father.
Being a bright child, she would often see the horrors of the world. She would observe and experience the way women were treated as lesser than the men, and hear of the terrorism unleashed by the Fire Nation. Her mind was constantly rebellious and questioning. While other kids were throwing around ice, Aimee was absorbed in her own thoughts, craving to break free from the luxurious prison she was placed in.
Because of her habit of eavesdropping, and snapping back to the Tribe elders, Aimee was watched intensely. Even as a 12 year old child she was seen as a threat, and too free spirited of a young lady to be trusted. This made Aimee more angry, and often she would go sneak out into the tundra to fight wolves with her bending.
Aimee always had a strong connection to water. Things would bubble when she became enraged, and when she was calm the air seemed less heavy. She wanted to learn to bend, but the rules of her tribe forbade it. Refusing to let potential failure, or fear of being exiled keep her down, Aimee spied on her brother Azule's training lessons. Azule became the second best bender in the city, and Aimee was determined to battle him. She got her chance when he challenged her to a fight. She went on to beat her brother, who was much bigger and experienced at the time, to almost beating all the boys in his bending class.
This made her mother keep a closer eye on her, and her anger grew, and grew. She craved to fight the Fire Benders, destroy the people who destroyed her, and kept her away from her father. She got her chance at the Siege of the North, sneaking off to battle the Fire Benders. She found out that she was even more gifted than she imagined, though her bending was not polished. With that knowledge, and the remembrance of the lives she took, Aimee left for war.
She was not respected by the Warriors right away, of course. She was after all a female, and a female at that.
The warriors relentlessly toughened her up, and sometimes Aimee would face harsh beatings for no reason at all.
She earned her respect during the first battle she was ever in. Though the perils were dangerous, and soldiers charged at her maliciously, Aimee stood her ground and fought. She surprised the Warriors by contributing to their efforts, and helping to win the battle all together. The older men now view her no differently than them, though being the only female in a platoon of men has obvious disadvantages.
Her life stayed consistently about battle, until a year later things started to change.
Because of her stealth and fervent loyalty to the Tribe, Aimee was selected as a spy. Dai Swai, a messenger and also a spy, was double timing the Water Tribe. It was Aimee's assignment to warn him that his messenger days were over. She did, but became so enraged that she almost killed the man. Guilty, she began to run.
That was when she met the love of her life, and undoubtedly her worst enemy.
Never trusting a man before, Aimee let Kaibo into her life. His calm personality intrigued her, and he was able to see that she needed guidance. She fell madly in love with him, and let her fierce independence dissipate to uncomfortable levels. He was everything to her, and together they almost defeated Asdef, and almost went on to defeating his evil twin brother, Kylothe. Her perfect dream turned into a nightmare when she woke up one day to find a note from Kaibo. It stated coldly that he had a Wife, a Wife he never told Aimee about. Enraged, Aimee stormed down behind the hut to face him. He left her standing alone, after a brief argument. She has never looked back since.
Filled with hatred and shame once again, Aimee left on her own. She went through a brief period of her own exile, in the woods beyond the hut. It was there she fought an epic battle against herself- her past, her present, and her future. Only when she mastered her intense emotions could she move on to master inequality of outside sources.
Returning to the Warriors with honor, Aimee used her own hatred for Kai to train harder, get healthier, and become a much better Bender and Warrior. She found strength in her new ability to control her anger- and started to become a fierce leader. Because of her fearlessness and renewed dedication, Aimee was granted her own platoon of men, becoming the first female in history to achieve a leadership position in her Tribe.
Currently she's aiding the Avatar in the final battle before the end of time, fighting with her platoon.
