 Zuko Poetry
« Thread Started on Nov 9, 2007, 3:56pm »

Here are some poems I have posted on fanfiction.net under the name AirGirl Phantom. Some of them specifically address Zuko, some just address his situation. Some could even apply for other characters.

Crash Landing

At the beginning
It all seemed clear:
What my purpose was
Why I was here
To sit on the throne
That was my dream
It was all set in stone
Or so it seemed
My father was cruel
Right down to the bone
Why didn’t I realize?
I should have known
That one day I’d mess up
And he’d punish me harshly
He scarred me for life
And sent me from the country
To capture the Avatar
That was my new goal
Catching him
Would be my ticket home
Father would’ve welcomed me
After all, he still loved me
It was all set it stone
Or so it seemed
But two years of searching
Ended up fruitless
Then he appeared
When all seemed hopeless
Now I still chase him
Or, I would if I could
If only I was safe
Then maybe I would
But strangely it seems
Like I’ve lost my way
Watching as my life
Slips by, day by day
I don’t know what to do
What’s right and what’s not?
I thought it was all set in stone
But it’s not

Why?

All these questions
No answers.
All this pain
No relief.
All this running
No stopping.
All this noise
No silence.
All this life
No purpose.
All this betrayal
No one’s left.
All these heartbreaks
No more security.
Everything’s gone wrong.
Yet all I ask is
Why?

Savior

Hear me!
Though you’re so far away.
Please, find me!
I’m lost in this darkness.
Help me!
I don’t know who I am.
Come save me!
No one else bothers to.
Guide me!
To a place of safety.
Hold me!
Don’t you let me look back.
I want to start again.
Hear me!

I like your poem. It represents Zuko very much ( especially the first one). Good job!
